The Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), alongside the Regulatory Reform Committee, has initiated a nationwide series of meetings to identify obstacles caused by existing regulations for businesses. The tour began with a focus on gathering feedback from businesses across the country regarding regulatory difficulties. The KCCI aims to pinpoint specific areas where regulations hinder economic activity and innovation. Officials expressed a desire to streamline regulations and create a more business-friendly environment, likening the effort to building a “highway of regulatory rationalization.” The initiative seeks to improve the competitiveness of Korean businesses by reducing unnecessary burdens. The findings from these meetings will be used to propose concrete regulatory improvements to the government. This marks a concerted effort to address long-standing concerns about the impact of regulations on the Korean economy.
