Twenty African entrepreneurs have been chosen to compete in the semi-final round of the Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) Prize Competition, set to take place in Nairobi on August 21-22, 2026. The competition attracted over 24,000 applicants from all 54 African nations, highlighting significant interest in fostering entrepreneurship across the continent. These selected individuals will contend for a portion of the $1.5 million prize pool, intended to support and scale their businesses. The ABH initiative aims to identify and empower African entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact on their communities. Nairobi’s selection as the host city underscores Kenya’s growing prominence as a hub for innovation and business in Africa. The competition seeks to further drive economic growth and create opportunities throughout the continent by championing innovative business solutions.
