Kenya and Italy are reinforcing their longstanding bilateral relationship, focusing on enhanced cooperation in multiple sectors. These include security, trade and investment, science, technology, and cultural exchange, as outlined in the Italy–Kenya Action Plan 2026–2029. The partnership also extends to development cooperation and shared approaches to multilateral affairs. A review of the current state of these relations took place with the participation of Ambassador Josphat Maikara, Director-General, Political and Diplomatic Affairs, from the State Department of Kenya. This renewed commitment signifies a deepening strategic partnership between Kenya and Italy, paving the way for new collaborative initiatives. The Action Plan sets a framework for further engagement over the coming years.
