Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced collaborative efforts between the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC), and the Sindh government to improve infrastructure in Defence Housing Authority (DHA). These projects include a new water pipeline from Dummlottee to Masjid-i-Ayesha, aiming to deliver 10 million gallons of water daily to DHA residents within 12 months. CBC is partnering with the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) to ensure direct water access to homes. Additionally, the FWO and Sindh government are working on road projects, including potential underpasses or flyovers at the intersections of Khayaban-i-Ittehad and Khayaban-i-Hafiz, and at Khayaban-i-Shahbaz and Khayaban-i-Hafiz, to reduce traffic congestion. The Sindh chief minister and cabinet have already approved these road projects and funding has been allocated. The mayor expressed gratitude to CBC for their cooperation and anticipates project completion by next September or October.
