Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is implementing a new strategy to combat littering within the city. As part of this initiative, KCCA will deploy undercover “ambience ambassadors” to identify and catch individuals violating sanitation regulations. The announcement was made during the launch of the monthly National Cleaning Day. KCCA Executive Director Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki emphasized the importance of improving the city’s cleanliness. These ambassadors will work covertly to apprehend litterers, increasing enforcement of existing laws. The move signals a stricter approach to maintaining public hygiene in Kampala. This aims to enhance the overall ambience and public health within the capital.
