DNA testing has revealed that only four of the 25 people claiming to be children of the late Ugandan musician Paul Job Kafeero are his biological offspring. The results were announced Thursday by officials from the Uganda Police Forensic Directorate and the Government Analytical Laboratory. The tests were conducted to resolve disputes over the musician’s estate and inheritance. AIGP Andrew Mubiru and Kepher Kuchana Kateu presented the findings, confirming a significantly smaller number of legitimate heirs than initially claimed. This outcome follows claims made by numerous individuals seeking recognition as Kafeero’s children. The results are expected to have significant implications for the distribution of the late artist’s assets and legacy.
