Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways is looking to restart direct flights to Kazakhstan, a route initially launched in 2021 but subsequently paused. The airline’s CEO, Barathan Pasupathi, discussed the possibility of resuming air connectivity with Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Yerzhan Yelekeyev. This development follows a meeting reported by the Kazakh Foreign Ministry on Oct. 13, signaling a positive step toward increased travel options between the two nations. The resumption is contingent on improvements in regional stability, as Jazeera Airways awaits more favorable conditions. This potential re-establishment of direct flights would benefit both tourism and business ties between Kuwait and Kazakhstan. The Astana Times reported on the discussions, highlighting the renewed interest in strengthening transport links.
