Japan’s Cabinet Office has revised upwards the country’s second-quarter real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate from a preliminary estimate of 0.3% to 0.4%. This adjustment, reported by Yonhap News Agency from Seoul, indicates a stronger economic performance than initially reported. When annualized, the revised growth rate translates to 1.4%. The initial figures were released previously and have now been updated with further data analysis. This revision provides a more accurate picture of Japan’s economic activity during the April-June period. The report was filed by journalist Kim Byeong-gyu in Seoul.
