The Ulaanbaatar Judo Grand Prix, an International Judo Federation (IJF) event, concluded after three days of competition at the Stepe Arena. The tournament marked the start of the qualifying period for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, attracting over 450 judokas from 58 countries. Japan topped the medal table with an impressive haul of eight gold and two silver medals. South Korea secured second place with two gold, one silver, and one bronze, followed by Italy with one gold, one silver, and one bronze. The Mongolian team finished fifth, winning one gold and two bronze medals. Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates each claimed one gold medal, while a total of 24 nations earned medals during the event. France and Russia also demonstrated strong performances, securing multiple medals despite not reaching the top three.
