Israeli citizens residing abroad have completed voting in their national election, with a notably higher turnout than in 2022. A total of 4,218 people participated, representing 86.7% of eligible voters. Voting took place at 101 polling stations established within 99 Israeli embassies and consulates globally. The participation rate marks a substantial increase of 17 percentage points compared to the previous election. The election is scheduled to occur on October 27. These overseas votes will be tallied alongside those cast in Israel to determine the outcome of the national election. This significant increase in foreign voter turnout demonstrates potentially shifting political engagement among the diaspora.
