Islamabad police arrested a suspect within nine hours of allegedly shooting and killing a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) group captain. The officer intervened after witnessing a dispute between the suspect, Saad Abbasi, and a woman he was attempting to forcibly take away. According to police, Abbasi and the woman, Nimrah, both worked at a local cash and carry store, representing different brands. The argument escalated when the woman resisted Abbasi's attempts to take her to a park and insisted on going to work. The PAF officer, en route to an assignment in Rawalpindi, observed the situation and attempted to help the woman. Abbasi then opened fire, fatally wounding the officer. The suspect is now in police custody, and investigations are ongoing.
