The Indonesian Communication Scholars Association (ISKI) is advocating for increased collaboration between academics, communication professionals, and the Government Communication Body (Bakom). This push, highlighted during the ISKI Talk–Leadership webinar, aims to bolster government communication strategies across Indonesia. ISKI believes a stronger partnership will foster more effective public communication, ensuring the government is responsive to citizen needs. The initiative focuses on bridging the gap between theoretical research in communication studies and practical application in government messaging. Ultimately, ISKI hopes to improve the government's ability to listen to and engage with the public in Jakarta and throughout the nation. This collaborative approach is envisioned as a vital step towards more transparent and accountable governance in Indonesia.
