Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan tomorrow at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations, focusing on areas like trade, energy, and border security, as well as regional connectivity and people-to-people exchanges. Discussions will also cover the recent Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding signed between the US and Iran, facilitated by Pakistan and Qatar, which seeks to de-escalate tensions and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. President Pezeshkian is scheduled to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif, along with other key Pakistani leaders. This marks Pezeshkian’s second visit to Pakistan as President, highlighting the commitment of both nations to deepen their historical ties. The visit is seen as an opportunity to discuss regional and international developments and promote peace and stability. It follows direct US-Iran talks in Switzerland mediated by Pakistan and Qatar.
