A new door-to-door schooling program in Indonesia is providing educational access to children from impoverished backgrounds who have never attended formal schooling. Initiated to address barriers to education, particularly in remote areas, the program directly reaches students at their homes. The initiative began with a boy named Rizky in Tabanan, Bali, who had previously been excluded from the traditional school system. Educators are delivering lessons and providing learning materials directly to students’ residences, overcoming obstacles like distance, financial constraints, and lack of documentation. This approach aims to increase school enrollment and reduce dropout rates among vulnerable populations. The program represents a significant effort to achieve universal education and offer opportunities to children previously left behind. Early reports suggest a positive impact on student engagement and learning outcomes.
