Indonesia’s aviation safety and security performance has surpassed the global average, achieving a score of 78.85 percent in a recent audit by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This positive result, announced by the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, marks significant progress in the nation’s efforts to improve air travel safety standards. The score represents an improvement from previous audits and demonstrates a commitment to adhering to international aviation regulations. The audit assessed various aspects of aviation safety, including legislation, organization, and operational capabilities. Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi emphasized this achievement is crucial for restoring international confidence in Indonesian aviation.
