Indonesia’s Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries is enhancing facilities in five Lebak district villages, Banten province, through the National Integrated Coastal Management Program (KNMP). The initiative aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of fishing communities and bolster the regional fishing industry. Upgrades include repairs and construction of fishing ports, alongside provisions for essential infrastructure like clean water and sanitation. This effort intends to stimulate economic growth and create new job opportunities within the villages. The KNMP program focuses on integrated management of coastal resources and sustainable fisheries practices. Ministry officials emphasized the importance of community involvement in the program's success, ensuring projects meet local needs. Ultimately, this project seeks to strengthen food security and increase the income of local fishermen.
