Indonesia is nearing the completion of feasibility studies for 13 downstream projects across the energy and mineral resources sector. According to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), these projects are currently in the pre-feasibility study (pre-FS) stage. The combined estimated value of these initiatives is projected to reach Rp239 trillion, equivalent to approximately $16 billion USD. Secretary General Ahmad Erani Yustika announced the impending completion of these assessments in July. These projects aim to add value to Indonesia’s natural resources within the country, rather than exporting raw materials. Further details regarding the specific projects were not immediately available. The completion of the studies is a crucial step towards attracting investment and driving economic growth in the sector.
