Indonesia’s state investment management agency, Danantara, is streamlining its tourism sector by merging all state-owned hotels under the InJourney group. This consolidation aims to improve efficiency and competitiveness within the national tourism industry. The move encompasses a significant number of hotel assets previously managed separately. InJourney, already responsible for several tourism destinations and infrastructure projects, will now oversee a vastly expanded portfolio. Officials state the restructuring is intended to attract further investment and enhance service quality. The initiative aligns with Indonesia’s broader strategy to boost tourism revenue and develop integrated tourism experiences. This consolidation is expected to create synergies and optimize resource allocation across the hotel network.
