Thai customs officials arrested an Indian man at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sunday with approximately 6kg of etomidate. The drug has an estimated value of 4.2 million baht. Etomidate is a controlled substance increasingly linked to the dangerous trend of "zombie vapes." Authorities suspect the man was attempting to smuggle the substance into the country. Phanthong Loykulnant, director-general of the Customs Department, confirmed the arrest. The incident highlights concerns regarding the rising circulation of illicit drugs and their use in unregulated vaping products within Thailand.
