Cambodia and India have announced increased collaboration to fight growing transnational online scam networks. This partnership will focus on improved intelligence sharing, technical expertise exchange, and strengthening Cambodia’s capabilities in tackling cybercrime. The agreement coincides with Phnom Penh’s preparation to host a major international conference dedicated to combating cyber-enabled fraud. Senior Minister Chhay Sinarith highlighted the importance of this cooperation as part of broader regional efforts. The conference aims to foster a united front against increasingly sophisticated online scams impacting multiple nations. This deepened cooperation signals a firm commitment from both countries to address the rising threat of cybercrime and protect citizens from fraud. The initiative seeks to disrupt scam operations and bring perpetrators to justice.
