A mobile court in Godagari, Rajshahi, fined a pesticide businessman 50,000 taka for illegally stockpiling fertilizer. During a raid on Thursday, August 20th, the court confiscated 132 sacks of chemical fertilizer hidden in a cowshed behind the businessman’s house. The operation took place in the Kaniadanga area of Deopara Union. Godagari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) led the mobile court. The seizure aims to curb illegal fertilizer trading and ensure fair distribution to farmers. Authorities are cracking down on such activities to maintain agricultural stability and prevent price manipulation. Further investigations may follow to identify any collaborators in this illicit practice.
