Hungary's general government deficit has reached HUF 3,806.3bn, according to a report from the Finance Ministry. This figure represents 90.2% of the government's full-year target. The central budget deficit contributed HUF 3,694.8bn to the total. Additionally, social security funds reported a deficit of HUF 182.4bn. Conversely, separate state funds maintained a modest surplus of HUF 70.9bn. These latest figures have raised significant concerns regarding the country's fiscal pressure. The data highlights the challenges the government faces in meeting its annual budgetary goals.
