Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) has launched its summer peak season timetable, significantly increasing service to the popular Lake Balaton resort area. The new schedule doubles the number of trains operating to the Balaton region. This increase in service translates to nearly a threefold rise in available seating for passengers traveling to and from the lake. The changes are designed to accommodate the expected surge in tourism during the summer months. MÁV anticipates high demand and aims to provide sufficient capacity for travelers. The enhanced schedule is now in effect, offering improved connectivity for those planning trips to Lake Balaton.
