A 30-year-old Hungarian hospital worker has been arrested following the discovery of a disturbing collection of human remains at his apartment and workplace. Police found skulls, a complete leg, a hand, and a jar containing what appears to be a human heart. The man reportedly discussed his collection – described by police as a passion for anatomy – with family and friends, and documented it with photographs. Investigators discovered he obtained remains from abandoned cemeteries in Hungary and Slovakia, and potentially through his employment. Disturbingly, the man confessed to cooking and consuming human flesh, and police also found a mask seemingly made from human skin, drawing comparisons to the horror film character Leatherface. Authorities are analyzing the remains to determine their origins and are investigating the possibility of further charges, though the suspect has been released on bail.
