Hong Kong universities have reached a historic milestone, with four institutions now ranked within the global top 50 according to the 2027 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings. This marks the first time the region has achieved this level of representation in the prestigious list. Notably, two Hong Kong universities secured positions within the top 20 globally. The rankings, released Thursday, also indicate that five Hong Kong universities continue to be recognized among the world’s top 100. This achievement underscores the growing academic strength and international recognition of higher education in Hong Kong. The QS rankings are widely respected and considered a key indicator of university performance worldwide.
