Ho Chi Minh City police have successfully dismantled a large-scale drug trafficking ring operating under the guise of an e-cigarette business. The operation targeted a network transporting, processing, and selling the synthetic drug Etomidate, concealed within “Pod Chill” e-cigarette cartridges. Authorities seized 1,460 pre-filled Pod Chill cartridges containing the illicit substance. A total of 37 individuals have been arrested and are facing legal consequences. This bust highlights a new method drug traffickers are employing to disguise and distribute narcotics. The police investigation focused on intercepting the supply chain originating from Cambodia. The operation demonstrates a proactive approach to combating evolving drug trafficking techniques within the city.
