The Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City has explained the cause of flooding at the entrance to Tân Sơn Nhất Airport during heavy rainfall on October 1st. The flooding occurred during a significant downpour in the afternoon. Officials attribute the issue to current drainage limitations in the area surrounding the airport. The Department outlined two ongoing drainage projects intended to address the persistent flooding problem in Tân Sơn Nhất Airport’s access routes. These projects are currently under development and are expected to improve the city’s overall drainage capacity. The Department hopes these measures will prevent similar incidents in the future, ensuring smoother access to Tân Sơn Nhất Airport during the rainy season.
