Hima Cement has agreed to a two-year sponsorship deal worth Shs 250 million with Impis Rugby Club, a team based at Makerere University in Uganda. The partnership, announced at Impis’ home ground, known as the Graveyard, will see the team officially renamed Hima Impis. A significant portion of the funding, Shs 150 million, will be provided as direct financial support to the club. The remaining Shs 100 million will be allocated to infrastructure improvements, specifically the renovation of facilities at the Graveyard. This investment aims to enhance the club’s capabilities and support its development within Ugandan rugby. The deal signifies a commitment from Hima Cement to boost sports development in Uganda.
