Singapore’s June Build-To-Order (BTO) launch saw strong interest, particularly for four-room flats in the Woodlands and Prime housing projects in Bishan and Berlayar. Woodgrove Acres, offering 162 four-room units, experienced competition with almost four first-time applicants for each available flat. This indicates significant demand for public housing in these locations. The competitive application rate highlights ongoing affordability concerns and the desire for housing in established and prime residential areas. Details regarding overall application rates for other flat types and locations within the launch have not yet been released. This BTO exercise is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide affordable housing options for Singaporean citizens. Further analysis will be conducted to understand the demand trends and adjust future housing supply accordingly.
