A popular Helsinki-area farm and tourist destination, Haltialan tila, has ceased the sale of alcohol. The change is due to the new ownership of the property, Lännentila Ltd. According to Lännentila’s CEO, Klaus Karjula, eliminating alcohol sales was a pre-planned decision by the new owners. Haltialan tila is well-known as a family-friendly destination featuring a petting zoo and other attractions. The move signals a shift in focus towards broader family tourism and a more wholesome experience for visitors. Both Yle and Helsingin Sanomat reported on the change in policy. No further details regarding the reasoning behind the decision have been released.
