The Turkish State Meteorological Directorate (Meteoroloji Genel Müdürlüğü - MGM) has issued a “yellow” coded weather warning for several provinces due to expected heavy rainfall. The warning includes the areas around Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, and Denizli, as well as the southern parts of Isparta and Burdur, predicting thunderstorms starting tonight. The İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has also announced expectations of intense storms and heavy rain across İstanbul. Rainfall is forecast to intensify from tonight onwards. Residents in these regions, including İstanbul, are advised to take necessary precautions against potential disruptions and hazards caused by the severe weather. The alerts indicate a potential risk of localized flooding and storm-related damage.
