A heatwave currently impacting southern Europe is extending northward, bringing summery temperatures to much of southern Sweden this week. Temperatures are forecast to reach up to 30 degrees Celsius. The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued warnings regarding the high temperatures expected across several regions. Meteorologist Max Schildt indicates unusually warm nights are also anticipated, potentially remaining around 25 degrees Celsius overnight into Sunday. This marks a significant shift in weather patterns for Sweden, mirroring the intense heat experienced elsewhere in Europe. Residents are advised to prepare for the heat and take necessary precautions.
