Hamzah Zainudin has been reinstated as the Leader of the Opposition in Malaysia’s Parliament. This follows a letter of support submitted to the Speaker of the House, Johari Abdul, by Perikatan Nasional (PN) chief whip Takiyuddin Hassan. The letter confirms the backing of 61 opposition Members of Parliament for Zainudin’s leadership. This move signifies a consolidation of support within the opposition bloc. Zainudin previously held the position but was replaced earlier this year. The reinstatement indicates a renewed alignment among PN parliamentarians. The Speaker will now formally recognize Zainudin’s position.
