Mongolia has completed construction of a “Green Zone” in preparation for the COP17 conference, offering free access to national participants. The zone includes seven newly built structures totaling over 7,000 square meters intended for exhibitions, conferences, and cultural displays. These facilities will host around 39 businesses and projects, a science pavilion with conference halls, and spaces for civil society organizations and government agencies to showcase environmental initiatives. The Green Zone also features support facilities for workers and a central stage for performances and presentations during the 12-day conference. Traditional Mongolian culture will be highlighted in three ger exhibits. Plans include film screenings related to environmental themes, with the entire zone now ready for the event.
