A viral video claiming that the government is destroying homes in a shelter project under the guise of canal digging has been debunked. The allegations suggest that the BNP government's canal excavation program is responsible for the damage to homes of underprivileged people. However, official sources have clarified that the video is not related to the ongoing canal excavation program. Instead, the footage depicts river dredging activities conducted by the Water Development Board. These activities are taking place in the area adjacent to the Baratia Shelter Project in Dumuria Upazila, Khulna. The government has asserted that the claims circulating on Facebook are untrue. This clarification aims to correct the misinformation spreading through social media.
