The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced the results of its 2026 annual exams on Wednesday, revealing a strong performance by female students. Girls secured 11 out of the 15 top positions across all five groups. The pass percentage for HSSC-II (class 12) was 85.95%, while HSSC-I (class 11) achieved a pass rate of 65.31%. A total of 67,848 out of 106,508 students passed the HSSC-I exam, and 87,364 of the 104,838 students who took the HSSC-II exam were successful. The results were officially released at a ceremony held at the FBISE building in Islamabad, with Education Minister Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui formally declaring them open. Top performers included Ammara Azhar of Army Public School and Colleges (Girls), Hamayun Road, Rawalpindi, and Muhammad Jahanzaib of Punjab College of Science, Blue Area, Islamabad.
