Guinness Ghana Breweries and the German development agency GIZ have partnered to bolster sorghum production in northern Ghana. The initiative aims to support 30,000 farmers and generate over 150 jobs within the region. The project focuses on enhancing sustainable agricultural practices and improving the economic well-being of local farming communities. This collaboration seeks to strengthen the sorghum value chain, providing a stable supply for Guinness Ghana while empowering farmers. GIZ will provide technical expertise and support, while Guinness Ghana will offer market access for the increased sorghum yield. The partnership represents a commitment to both economic development and sustainable agriculture in northern Ghana.
