The Ghana Sports Fund is working to establish a stable financial future for sports development in the country. Currently, Ghana relies heavily on unpredictable, emergency fundraising efforts and temporary financial aid. The Fund aims to replace this unstable system with a predictable and sustainable financing model. This new approach will support sports at all levels, from identifying and nurturing grassroots talent to funding elite athletes and competitions. Deputy Administrator Simon Appiah Jnr. Esq. stated the Fund’s primary goal is to eliminate uncertainty in sports financing. The long-term vision is a consistent funding stream that fosters growth and success across the Ghanaian sporting landscape. This signifies a move towards a more professional and strategically funded sports sector.
