The African Women Lawyers Association-Ghana (AWLA-Ghana) hosted a forum in Accra to prepare for a National Family Law and Justice Conference. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to identify crucial areas for discussion and establish the conference’s objectives. Participants focused on defining priorities related to family law and the administration of justice within that framework. This consultative process aims to ensure the conference effectively addresses pressing issues and contributes to meaningful legal reforms. The upcoming National Family Law and Justice Conference will build upon the outcomes of this initial forum. AWLA-Ghana intends for the conference to be a pivotal event in shaping future family law policy in Ghana.
