Zoomlion Ghana Limited and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) are collaborating on a continuing initiative to mitigate flood risks in the Greater Accra Region. Following a recent three-day clean-up operation focused on desilting drains, teams have been deployed to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs). These officers will monitor and maintain key drainage systems to sustain the progress achieved during the initial exercise. The deployment aims to proactively prevent blockages and ensure efficient water flow during the rainy season. This sustained effort underscores a commitment to reducing the impact of flooding in the region. The partnership seeks to build on recent gains and protect communities from potential disaster. Regular monitoring will be crucial to the long-term success of the campaign.
