The Bank of Ghana is urging journalists to improve their coverage of economic policies and actively combat misinformation. Director of Communications Bernard Otabil emphasized the significant impact inaccurate reporting can have on the nation’s economy. He made the appeal during the launch of a three-day media training program in Koforidua, designed to build capacity in economic reporting. The program aims to equip journalists with the tools to better understand and explain complex economic issues to the public. Otabil stressed the need for strategic reporting that fosters public understanding of financial policies. The Bank of Ghana believes a well-informed public is crucial for economic stability and growth.
