Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are vital to the economies of Ghana and Africa, forming their core economic engine. Despite their importance, these businesses are not reaching their full potential. A key obstacle to this growth is a consistent lack of effective financial management skills. This deficiency is not isolated but rather deeply rooted within the systems supporting these businesses. Improving financial management within SMEs is therefore crucial, moving them beyond mere survival and toward sustained prosperity. Addressing this systemic issue will unlock the transformative power of SMEs and foster broader economic development across the continent.
