Gazan authorities have recovered the remains of 112 individuals from collapsed buildings, following 136 hours of search efforts primarily conducted by hand. The recovery operation, focused in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, was supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and spanned over two weeks. Tragically, the recovered remains include 40 children, 38 women, and seven individuals with physical disabilities. Officials estimate at least 157 more bodies remain buried under the rubble, with thousands potentially trapped across the Gaza Strip following Israeli airstrikes. The ICRC emphasized the prolonged pain and uncertainty endured by Gazan families awaiting closure. Authorities continue efforts to locate and recover remains, aiming to provide dignified burials for the deceased.
