Ninety years after the execution of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, Venezuelan director Marisol Martínez is staging a tribute production. The play, based on a text by José Antonio Rial, honors the 55th anniversary of the Rajatabla theater group. The production re-examines themes of power and injustice through Lorca’s story. Performances will be held at Rajatabla until November 1st. The staging aims to question authority using the context of Lorca’s fate. This production serves as a memorial to the poet and to the enduring relevance of his work. The play is being presented by EL NACIONAL.
