A Ukrainian military unit, known as "General Cherry," is collaborating with French firm Alta Ares to improve the targeting capabilities of its BULLET anti-Shahed interceptor system. This partnership focuses on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) guidance into the interceptor. The move aims to enable the BULLET to accurately identify targets even without relying on GPS signals. Alta Ares recently won a NATO tender for glide bombs, demonstrating its expertise in precision technology. This collaboration signifies a bolstering of Ukraine’s defense capabilities against Shahed drones, a key component of Russia’s attacks. The AI integration promises to increase the interceptor’s effectiveness and operational independence. This development also highlights the growing cooperation between Ukraine and Western companies in the defense sector.
