The National Heart Foundation of Rajshahi has launched a special initiative to identify and treat congenital heart disease in children in northern Bangladesh. This program will provide free heart screenings for 2,800 students from 46 educational institutions in the Rajshahi region. Chinese medical specialists will collaborate with experts from the National Heart Institute & Hospital to conduct the screenings. The initiative, a first for the area, aims to detect heart conditions early for effective intervention. The program began on Wednesday, July 22nd, and will continue through Friday. This represents a significant step towards improving pediatric cardiac care access in the region, leveraging international expertise for the benefit of local children. Further details of the program are anticipated to be released.
