The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), aims to provide 25,000 households in West Java with free new electricity connections by 2026. This initiative, known as Bantuan Pasang Baru Listrik (BPBL), seeks to expand electricity access across the region. As of the latest reports, 12,327 households in West Java have already received these free connections. The program is part of a broader effort to improve living standards and economic opportunities for residents of West Java. Authorities anticipate the BPBL program will significantly impact communities currently without electricity. This aid focuses on providing initial electrical infrastructure to qualifying households in West Java. The Ministry of ESDM is driving the initiative forward to meet the 2026 target.
