Former Croatian Minister Tomislav Tolušić sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident near Bjelovar. He suffered a fractured vertebra and a brain hemorrhage as a result of the incident. The accident was caused by the driver of the van in which Tolušić was travelling as a passenger. Details surrounding the cause of the accident remain unclear. Tolušić has reported being conscious but struggling, and stated he does not fully recall the events leading up to the crash.
