Barrister Toufique Nawaz, husband of former minister Dipu Moni, passed away Tuesday night at the Continental Hospital in Dhaka. He was 76 years old. According to Dipu Moni’s lawyer, Gazi Faisal Islam, Nawaz had been battling a long-term illness and was receiving treatment at the hospital. He died at 10:27 PM local time. The Continental Hospital is the former United Hospital.
