A significant forest fire is currently burning near the town of Lnáře in the Strakonice region of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. The fire has already consumed approximately ten hectares of forest in difficult-to-access terrain. Firefighters have declared the third highest of four possible alert levels, deploying fourteen units to the scene. As of 9 PM local time, the fire remains uncontained, according to Luboš Broumil, director of the Písek territorial department of the South Bohemian Fire Rescue Service.
